Sustainability and cleaning: how do you choose the right partner for your machines?

Sustainability is a hot topic! And rightly so because we can no longer deny it: it's time to take action to protect our planet and ensure a safe future for the generations to come Today, sustainability is much more than a box to tick in a public tender or a buzzword used in marketing. It's time for action. And that means not only adopting the right habits, but also choosing the right partners to help build a circular supply chain together. That's why we're dedicating this blog series to creating a sustainable logistics chain. In doing so, we'll pay close attention to the selection and use of cleaning machines.

How can we help create a circular chain?

From waste management to energy use, and from eco-friendly detergents to smart cleaning practices, there are many ways to help reduce your environmental impact. But each of these actions is just one step in the chain. So it's great to sort your waste, but what really matters is what happens to it next. Building a sustainable chain is a shared effort. And that includes cleaning machines. From manufacturing to distribution, and from use to recycling, by focusing on sustainability at every stage, we can move forward together toward a circular model.

Key questions when choosing a new cleaning machine

If you want to make a sustainable choice when buying a new cleaning machine, we recommend asking yourself a few key questions. Does the machine have a CFI certificate? Are you using the right machine for the job? How much energy does the machine use? And how much water? Where is the machine made? And what's its social impact? To help guide your decision, we've answered all of these questions in our blog post on how to make sustainable choices when buying a new cleaning machine.

Key points to keep in mind when using a new cleaning machine

There are many factors to consider when choosing a sustainable cleaning machine. But what matters most is using it properly. In fact, according to Carbon Footprint International, 75% of your machine's carbon footprint comes from energy consumption while cleaning. Read our blog post to discover tips on how to use cleaning machines in an eco-friendly way.

The next step in the chain

"What happens to my machine when it reaches the end of its life?" This is a question we get asked often. In a circular chain, the next step is just as important as the current one. That's why we also think about what comes next for your used machines. When your machine reaches the end of its service life, we take it back and recycle it with our recycling partner. The device is completely broken down into raw materials. These are then reused to create new materials, and the circle is completed. That's how, in 2021, we gave a responsible second life to no fewer than 362 machines.

Get started today!

It's easy to help reduce your environmental impact. You can even start today by choosing the right partners. So, what are you waiting for?
