So far, we've been spared from freezing temperatures. But winter is just around the corner. Every year, cold and snow bring their share of cleaning and safety challenges around your buildings. We've put together a list of must-have items for the season.

1. Snow shovel
A snow shovel makes it easy to clear snow from walkways and sidewalks. Make sure you have a good-quality shovel, ideally with a long handle. This makes shoveling more ergonomic. After all, the task can take a toll on your back.
2. Sweeper
For larger areas, a snow shovel probably won't be enough. A sweeper can be the ideal solution for quickly clearing snow from a parking lot, for example. A sweeper can also be used year-round to remove debris and leaves. With the right attachments, a sweeper becomes a truly multifunctional machine.
3. De-icing salt
When sidewalks become slippery due to a layer of ice or snow, it's your responsibility to take action. Before spreading de-icing salt, you'll need to properly clear the surface with a shovel or sweeper. Then, you can spread the salt. And don't worry, salt won't damage the flooring.
4. Salt spreader
Need to salt a large area? A salt spreader can also be extremely helpful and speed up the job. The spreader can be adjusted to cover a range of between 1.5 and 3.7 meters.
5. Extra mats
Despite your best efforts, moisture and dirt often still make their way into the building. That's why it's smart to place a high-quality entrance mat at your door. In winter, you may want to add multiple mats or replace them as needed. This will help prevent dirt from being tracked indoors.
6. On the road
It's also essential to have the right products on hand for your fleet. This includes things like windshield washer antifreeze, windshield de-icer, or an ice scraper. This way, everyone can hit the road safely.
